Dear Tribal Applicant:

We are the rightful and legal governing body of the Shasta Indian Nation and encourage all Shasta’s to submit your enrollment.

In order to process your application for membership, please print and fill out the forms in the links below then mail them to us. We will need a photocopy of your Certified Birth Certificate (one issued by the state or county of your birth, not a hospital document) and a photocopy for your minor child(ren). If you do not have a copy, please send one as soon as possible. Please only send a photo copy as we are unable to return originals. You will receive your membership card within 45-60 days after submitting all the required documentation.

The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) advises all to get their Certificate Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB). If you are California Indian and don’t have a California Roll Number (CRN) or were born after 1971 it is even more important. The application for the CDIB and instructions are included in the document list below. At this time we don’t require a CDIB for enrollment with Shasta Indian Nation but encourage you to send us a copy with your enrollment papers if you have one. It is your responsibility to submit verification of your Indian ancestry.
