Dear Tribal Applicant:

We are currently in the process of re-organizing our tribal roll.  As of June 1999, there has been some question to whom is the rightful and legal governing body of the Shasta Indian Nation.  I assure you that we, the members of this board, are the true council, and are very proud to serve our people.

Although attempts have been made to reconcile, sadly, there has been a division.  In order to maintain the integrity of the tribe and our roll please take the time to submit an application. 

In order to process your application for membership, please fill out the enclosed application and genealogy chart.  Also, we will need a copy of your Birth Certificate and a copy for your minor child(ren).  If you do not have a copy, please send one as soon as possible. (NO ORIGINALS PLEASE).  You will receive your card within 45 days after submitting all the required documentation.
